So, in the best G-Rated way, I think this one photo taken June 2023 sums up my overall tattoos that I’m packin’ under my hoodie & jeans for all those who have messaged me (lower abdomen not seen).

The Story Behind The Ink

OK, so many have asked me about the tattoos I now have on my lower legs. For those who know me very well know I have my fair share of body art. They also know I said I would never tattoo my legs or feet. So, I’d like to just clear this up once and for all. Everyone has different genetics and is physically unique. What one person can handle, another simply can’t. A physical training regimen that one can handle; another might have a hard time with it. I can say for many years I have been very active physically, but they always say, while there are many benefits of fitness, it does sometimes come with unwanted side effects. Side effects in the form of injuries and “wear and tear.” Without going into super detail, over the past couple years, the numerous amounts of visual damage below my knees on both legs had gotten pretty bad. I opted to have some artwork created so I would no longer have to see the physical effects of “Father Time.” I have friends that have done 10X the amount of what I have done physically without any effects at all. On the flip side, I have other friends who have done a relatively low level of physical activity their entire life and have 10X the issues that I’ve had. As I said above, I believe genetics determine everything. Obviously, training smart and taking care of oneself helps but I think as individuals we are prone to certain things based on genetics and heredity. With all that being said, I’m 100% healthy and I feel great. Fitness is something I will continue for the rest of my life as I am a “creature of habit.” As I’ve said before, all fitness was for me was myself competing against myself. It kept me out of trouble and allowed me to meet some amazing people.  I’d like to personally thank tattoo artist Derek “Goofy” Seaquist for everything, truly one of the world’s greatest tattoo artists and human beings.
God Bless,
John “Stoneface” Quinlan
