During part of my shoot it was a pleasure to showcase a piece of jewelry that was custom made by my friend and fashion designer Kenneth Fron. It is funny because Kenneth is a big cigar fan so the deal was I would smoke a cigar during the shoot and get him the photos wearing his hand carved necklace amongst billowing cigar smoke. Mission accomplished, LOL! I briefly talk about it a bit here in this video after that part of my shoot was done. You are the man Kenneth, much respect always!

It is truly an honor to be the most tattooed male romance cover model in the world.

If it wasn’t for my kids, many friends and people like Mike Feulner who gave me the opportunity to be reborn again as a competitive athlete when I was at my worst I would probably have ended up dead or in prison.

John Quinlan – Training Update September 2013 @ 3 Weeks Out Abs

I had this quick video filmed this morning as many of my friends have been asking me how things have been going with my training and projects. I always feel there are things I could have done better but I guess that is what keeps me working hard on things in the present. Trying to make “right” today what was “wrong” in the past. I think that as long as I work hard, keep focused and have a positive attitude I can live with whatever happens. My abs in this video @ 3 weeks out from my show in New York, the NPC Brooklyn Grand Prix being put together by Bev Francis. She and her husband Steve always put on great shows and I am just honored to be part of it.

I think as a model/actor versatility is a key ingredient to being successful. Being able to show a wide variety of looks makes for a better well rounded person. There are times when being somewhat more conservative is the nature of the character being looked for and of course other times when a look that is a bit rougher & hard-hitting is sought after. Early Morning Weigh-In on August 21, 2013

I have been dieting & training for just 3 weeks now and had an early morning weigh-in on an empty stomach. I very rarely weigh myself as I try and go by the mirror but every now and then I think it is a good thing to measure my overall progress. I came in at today at 196lbs. and at 5’9” I feel like I am doing alright considering I have only been going steady for the past three weeks. I am training right now for the NPC Brooklyn Grand Prix Physique taking place October 5^th and a big photo shoot on October 11^th in Philadelphia with Jillian Bullock for her new fitness book.
